Welcome to Södermalm, Stockholm’s hipster neighborhood.
In this tour of the southern island of Stockholm, we’ll focus on cultural topics, ranging from mythology and religion to art and society. We begin with Viking mythology and how it has influenced today’s society, discuss literature and Nordic noir, and explore the Swedish welfare system. Along the route, we’ll combine the city’s most spectacular viewpoints with cultural themes of Swedish society.
What are the most important Swedish traditions? Why did ABBA become so famous? And why are the Swedes in the forefront of the music industry?
